This post is all about dying my hair blue in Miami!

Last week I got the Mermaid Hair of my dreams courtesy of Stefanie at SCB Salon in Miami. This beautiful aquamarine balayage is what mermaid dreams are made of! If you want fantasy color hair, a beautiful balayage, or are just looking to get your hair cut and styled in the Miami area, I’d highly recommend SCB Salon. The space was very clean and painted a beautiful coral on the inside, and as you’re about to see, Stefanie did an excellent job with my mermaid hair!

So, ngl the “before” photos are pretty embarrassing! It wasn’t just quarantine hair – I haven’t had my hair cut or lightened in a little over a year. 😳 YIKES! Stefanie trimmed off my ends and immediately went to work lightening my hair and pulling the balayage blonde all the way back up into my roots. The honey color results were absolutely beautiful, but short lived. I was ready for the BLUE!

My hair took about 2 bottles of Pravana hair color in Aquamarine to achieve this look, with all the bright blues & vibrant teals of the ocean! I am obsessed with the new color and feel like a true neverland mermaid with this fantasy hair. Seriously, something about blue hair makes you feel like a totally new mermaid!

I couldn’t wait to show off my new color so I immediately booked a sunset photoshoot with my sister that evening! If you don’t know, she & I run a marketing company, DoubleTake MKTG, so its not uncommon for her to help me with product shoots and other mermaid projects!
