The Florida Mermaid Pod returns to Fort Pierce for the annual Treasure Coast Pirate Fest! Mermaid Jules shares her festival experiences.

As the pirate ships sailed in to Fort Pierce, so too did the mermaids come, swimming quickly in their wake.

The mermaids watched curiously, but cautiously from Fort Pierce inlet, as the pirates set up their encampment in the night on the shores of Veteran’s Memorial Park.

The next morning, the mermaids awoke to cannon fire!

…followed by music and laughter, which drew them to shore to see what all the commotion was about. How could they forget? Its time for the annual Treasure Coast Pirate Fest!

The mermaids quickly dolled up,

dawning their best jewelry and gems, ready to greet the humans who came to visit that day! They dove deep to the ocean’s floor to bring their best clam throne up to the surface so that children, adults, and animals could join them for some fun photos and feel like mermaid royalty!

The mermaids were visited by lots of furry friends:

1 parrot, 3 cats, and countless doggos this year- definitely set some new records there!

Some friends who visited the mermaid grotto even got a mermaid makeover,

with dazzling face gems to wear throughout the festival! Of course, Mermaid Jules is always ready to snap a Shellfie with her new best fins!

The mermaids had LOTS of visitors!!

Of course some Pirates & Conquistadors came by to mingle with the mermaids. And as music lovers, you know mermaids get along best with bards! The Treasure Coast Pirate Fest is ALWAYS full of fun, family-friendly characters who are ready to entertain, engage and educate!

So much to do at the Treasure Coast Pirate Fest!

The mermaids had the most fun playing on the pirate ship playground with the kiddos! Live music filled the air from the center stage Vendors from across Florida brought their nautical themed art and goods for sale- there were so many treasures to discover! The festival also hosted many food vendors: lots of seafood, of course, and a mermaid’s favorite- BUBBLE Tea!

The shellabrations lasted all weekend long!
