Maui Mermaid Video Blog - Mermaid Jules Travels to Hawaii

My Maui Mermaid Trip (in videos)

Long before I became a mermaid, I always dreamed of traveling to Hawaii! This year I made that dream a reality and booked a trip to Maui for my birthday in October! Of course I had to bring along a mermaid tail, but not just any tail… this trip called for the real deal. I brought my full silicone pink mermaid tail that was custom made by Finfolk Productions. This was my first time traveling with my mermaid tail in a checked bag, so I was super nervous. Now that my tail has made it safely there and back home, I can say the Maui Mermaid videos I was able to capture make it all worth it!!

Maui is beautiful everywhere you look. It only takes about 2 hours to get from one side of the island to another so its pretty easy to explore a lot of what Maui has to offer in a week. As a mermaid influencer, you know I was obsessed with Maui’s crystal clear ocean waters and abundant sea life. As a nature-loving traveler, I was impressed by the variety of geographical features you could view on the island. From mountains and volcanoes, to lava tubes and caves, tide pools and blowholes, waterfalls and lush tropical rainforests, bamboo forests and so much more! I highly recommend taking a trip to Hawaii! Below are some of my favorite mermaid memories on the island! I hope you enjoy my collection of Maui Mermaid Videos!

Mermaid Birthday in Maui!

As mentioned, I traveled to Maui to celebrate my birthday, so of course I had to have a mermaid birthday photoshoot! We booked a VRBO right across the street from a beach that had the most beautiful sunsets every day, so I knew that was where I wanted to film my birthday video! We picked up a cake, candles and a flower lei at the local mart, then walked down to the beach for a sunset shoot. P.s. if you are in Hawaii celebrating anything (a birthday, anniversary, etc) I highly recommend wearing a lei! Locals will give you well wishes recognizing the lei as a symbol of celebration, and it’s good fun; its like wearing a Birthday Button at Disney! Side note, as stunning as the sunset in my video is, I’d have to say this was the least impressive one on our trip, and the video doesn’t do it justice! 😅 Maui sunsets are incredible and something that everyone should experience at some point in their lives!

Maui Mermaids swim with a sea turtle!

Swimming in Maui’s pristine waters was unforgettable! My friend Mermaid Aqualina took me out on her paddle board to her favorite local swimming caves. The water clarity was insane and we were even blessed by a sea turtle swimming by in the background! I am grateful her friend Skye was able to capture these magical moments on his underwater camera. This has to be one of my favorite Maui mermaid videos!

Mermaid Sunbathing at Maui Blowhole

This powerful force of nature is a must-see when visiting Maui; this is the Nakalele Blowhole. You can see the tower of water shooting in the air from the hill of parking lot but you can truly feel her force when you hike down closer to the tide pool. The blow hole can be very dangerous and there are signs everywhere reminding guests that this is not a waterpark. Treacherous waves crash against the jetty, forcing water through small tunnels that let out at the blow hole, shooting water up to 100 ft in the air! Wear appropriate shoes as the hike down can be slippery. This is truly a dream photoshoot location for a mermaid, basking in the sun on the colorful coastal rocks as water spouts up & rains down from behind!

Maui Mermaid swims in a Heart-shaped Tide pool

A lone mermaid swims in a secluded tide pool, as powerful waves crash against the jagged rocks that divide the pool from the sea. The mermaid’s pink tail shows perfectly through the clear, still water of the pool. I am so stoked on this drone footage we captured at this incredible tide pool! I highly recommend going to *see* this tide pool, however I do not recommend swimming in it due to the dangerous nature of the activity. Large swells can sweep over the walls and drag even the strongest swimmers out to sea. It is not recommended to swim here.

Maui Waterfall Mermaid

If I saw a mermaid at the bottom of a waterfall it would be absolute magic, so I totally understand why so many people wanted to take photos with me at this popular location. This is one of the last stops along the Road to Hana and it is so worth it for its stunning views, *ample* parking (when compared with the other falls), and ease of access by foot. The height of this fall is stunning, you can swim in the water at the base (weather permitting) and its all surrounded by a lush tropical rainforest! A nice local even gifted me this ginger flower and it made the perfect prop for my mermaid photoshoot.

Have you fallen in love with Maui, yet?

Rewatching these videos even gives me FOMO, remembering the glorious sunsets, the clear cool waters, and the beautiful souls I met there. I’m ready to book my next trip back! Let me know in the comments if you have ever traveled to Hawaii or if this post has inspired you to possibly book a trip to Maui!
