Mermaid Jules makes her debut in Fort Lauderdale’s Iconic Underwater Mermaid Show at The Wreck Bar

New for me, Iconic for Fort Lauderdale! Now you can catch your favorite pink mermaid swimming in The Wreck Bar’s classic underwater mermaid shows! The mermaids have returned to The B Ocean Resort with all new Mermaid & Merman shows! I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be performing locally at the B Ocean Resort with the highly skilled Fort Lauderdale Mermaids. Bring the besties out for a ladies night or take the kids for an unforgettable family outing! Come see mermaids swimming every day of the week!

Learn about The Wreck Bar’s Mermaid Shows

Underwater mermaid shows at The Wreck Bar are an iconic part of Fort Lauderdale’s history. Built in 1956 during the Golden Age of Tourism, this themed bar & restaurant is designed to resemble a Sunken Spanish Galleon. Fishtanks line the walls of the restaurant and just behind the bar are giant blue port holes where the magic happens!

Through the portholes you can watch live mermaids swimming and performing underwater tricks, from back flips, to barrel rolls, to bubble rings & more! If you dine at the Wreck Bar during Mermaid Sightings, the mermaids will pass by the portholes periodically, performing adorable bits throughout your dinner experience. If you come for a Mermaid Show, you’ll get to take photos with a mermaid during our meet & greet before witnessing a 30 minute underwater performance featuring synchronized swimming in mermaid tails! As always, these mermaids perform with no goggles, no air hoses, and no nose clips. Its pure Mermaid Magic!

If you like your entertainment extra cheeky, you’ll want to check out one of the underwater burlesque shows designed exclusively for adults 21+. The late night show on Saturday features a bold, underwater Burlesque‐inspired Show where the mermaids really show some tail! Oh & did I mention there are MerMEN, too? Swing by on a Wednesday night to view a seductive Merman Show!

The Wreck Bar is a Bar and Restaurant nestled inside the B Ocean Resort, which sits proudly on Fort Lauderdale Beach! Children are welcome in during the early shows, however, our two weekly aqua-burlesque shows are adult only.

About the Mermaids

The Fort Lauderdale Mermaids are a talented pod of merfolk who perform every night at The Wreck Bar, in addition to making occasional appearances across the state. The mermaids train to learn synchronized swimming shows which we perform without goggles or nose clips. Some of the challenges include holding our breath, swimming with our legs bound, compensating for costume drag (hair & tail), and dealing with the elements like chlorine. And we smile through it all! Our team works well together! We make vocal calls underwater to keep in time, as well as queue up our next moves on the surface.

It has been so rewarding joining the Fort Lauderdale Mermaids’ pod and now getting to be a part of Fort Lauderdale’s iconic history at the Wreck Bar. This latest iteration of mermaid shows launched in April and we are so excited to show you what we can do!

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: Mermaid Sightings 7:30pm-9:30pm

Wednesday: Merman Show 7:30 Meet & Greet, 8pm Show

Friday: “Sirens of Glamour” Mermaid Show 7:30 Meet & Greet, 8pm Show

Saturday: Mermaid Show 6:30 Meet & Greet, 7pm Show
Merlesque 8:30pm Meet & Greet, 9pm Burlesque Show

Sunday: Brunch Mermaid Show 11am Meet & Greet, 11:30am Show

Please note Mermaid Jules does not swim in the burlesque shows, so make sure to book the early show if you want to see me on a Saturday!
