Little Mermaid Nails:

Purple Glitter with Gold Shells & Starfish

Life is the bubbles with these lilac glitter little mermaid nails! I went to a nail salon to get sparkly purple dip, then I did a little DIY bedazzling myself! You can find the gold seashell & starfish nail charms on Amazon, though I found mine at my local craft store. I’ve also linked a clear gel polish base & top coat and a light for curing. You can read my how-to and follow along while watching my video tutorial, both below.

How to add mermaid Nail Charms:

You can adhere these gems anywhere on your nail. Add a dab of gel polish then place your nail charm on top with tweezers. Next, cure the polish by placing your nail under the LED light for 30-60 seconds as directed.

2. Now that the charm is secure, use a toothpick or brush to paint more gel around the edges. Cure once more under the light as directed.

3. Lastly, paint a final coat of gel polish over the entire nail and charm. Cure one more time.

By now the clear gel polish should have built up around the charm enough to lock it in place with a smooth finish so that it doesn’t snag on your hair or clothes. If it still feels rough, one more coat & cure should fix it!
