AHOY MATEYS! ICYMI the Boynton Beach Pirate Festival and Mermaid Splash is HAPPENING this year! After a two year hiatus, the City of Boynton Beach proudly announces the return of the 2023 Boynton Beach Pirate Fest. The pirates ‘ARRR’ taking over Downtown Boynton (120 E. Ocean Ave.) on Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. And where there are pirates… there are mermaids!
Meet Mermaid Jules and her pod of magical mermaids!
The mermaids are coming back to Boynton Beach! Meet Mermaid Jules and all her mermaid friends at the Boynton Beach Pirate Festival! Look for the big tent next to the mermaid bounce house- that’s the mermaid grotto! Inside, you will find beautiful live mermaids, along with fun games, sparkling makeovers, and of course photo-ops!
Pick a Pearl – Mermaid Game
Step right up and try your luck at the mermaid lagoon! For $5, a mermaid will bring you a special clam from her pool with a pearl inside. You can open the clamshell to reveal either a white pearl, which will win you a small prize, or a black pearl, which will win you a BIG prize! Every play wins so you are sure to go home with some fun under the sea prizes!
Mermaid Makeovers
Mermaids LOVE to accessorize and they want to share their sparkles with you! This year at the Mermaid Grotto, you can get a full mermaid makeover from sparkling face gems to braided mermaid hair! We have over 50 styles of gorgeous face gems to choose from, so you’re sure to find one that you love! It’s $5 for a set of gems, and they can be reused if you hang onto the packaging for storage! You can also get hair charms braided into your mermaid hair for $5. You get to choose any 3 charms from our 12 unique designs, and we will add them to your hair in a braid!
Pro tip: Start your at the mermaid tent and get a mermaid makeover that you can enjoy all day!Â
Live Mermaid Photo-Ops
Pictures or it didn’t happen! Make sure all your friends believe your fish tale by taking a shellfie with a REAL mermaid while you’re here! We will have a FREE photo booth set up with a beautiful clam couch and a fun under the sea backdrop. Children and the young-at-heart will love conversing with a mermaid and learning about life under the sea! We can’t wait to make magical memories with you and your little one!

About the Event:
Pirates and landlubbers from across the seas are invited to join us for this free family friendly event which will feature a variety of unique vendors, pirate encampments, and the captivating allure of live mermaids. In addition, prepare to be dazzled by stunt shows, cannons, and live music that is sure to have you dancing a jig. Young buccaneers will have their own share of adventure with captivating kids’ activities and a thrilling treasure hunt!

Mermaid Jules is a bright & bubbly pink mermaid swimming in from the tropical waters of Fort Lauderdale! When she’s not at home crafting, she’s out exploring with her merpup Zelda (or perhaps venturing on land with the help of some magic!) Mermaid Jules makes friends with every fish she meets, but she especially loves spotting octopuses & jewel fish on her daily adventures! As an avid explorer and born collector, Jules searches for treasures on the seafloor and cleans up our reefs along the way. Mermaid Jules wants your help in keeping our oceans and our earth sparkly clean! She challenges you to leave every place you visit, even better than you found it!
