Nice to SEA you at the Boynton Beach Pirate Fest!
The 2023 Boynton Beach Pirate Festival was a SPLASH! My Mermaid friends and I had the most wonderful time meeting all the humans and of course seeing all the pirates! I hope you had as much fun as we did, playing games and making memories all weekend long! Here’s a little photo recap so our friends who couldn’t make it can enjoy the experience, and so that the ones who could make it, can recount the memories!

This year, I worked extra hard to make sure the Mermaid Grotto was FULL of magical mermaid experiences that all ages could enjoy! This included a mermaid makeover station, a beautiful photo booth, and a fun carnival game! Let’s take a deeper dive together!
Mermaid Makeovers
Mermaid Makeovers were a super magical time! We loved seeing which face gems each little human picked out to match their pirate, mermaid, or other halloween costume! We also got to share one of our favorite pastimes- hair braiding! We braided hair for so many little mermaids and decorated each braid with super cute charms! The seashells, pearls, and turtles were definitely a crowd favorite! Our favorite part was seeing each little kid’s excited reaction when they looked in the mirror after their makeover transformation!
Clam Throne Photo Booth
The clam throne got a facelift including more pearls and some new sparkly foliage, making this year’s photo booth even more enchanting than the ever! Our mermaids had a steady flow of little ones coming by to say hi all day! Some were first-timers, others were friends we’ve watched grow up over the many years of performing at this festival! We shared our stories about life under the sea and learned so much about human life from all our new friends! We took lots of shell-fies and made lots of intimate memories that will last a lifetime!
Splash Pool with Mermaid Jules’s Pick-a-Pearl Game
Our newest addition to the Mermaid Grotto was the mermaid splash pool where we hosted “Mermaid Jules’s Pick-a-Pearl” game! In this game where everyone wins, guests could try their luck at finding a coveted black pearl. After choosing from over 50 floating clamshells in the pool, you could open your clam to reveal which color pearl you found! Pearls could be traded for treasures at the prize table where a friendly mermaid would happily make the trade! Of course mermaids love collecting pearls, and we were willing to trade a small prize for a white pearl or a big prize for a black pearl! Everyone loved going home with treasures, especially the lucky few who found black pearls and walked away with our biggest prizes! ✨
