In case you haven’t heard of Milk Bar, this sweet (and occasionally savory) shop has been quietly shaking up the dessert scene since 2008, pulling inspiration from simple ingredients, like the grocery store staples we grew up with, & turning familiar treats upside down and on their heads. This year a small team packed up their pink van and hit the road, touring 5 cities. I was lucky enough to visit the pop up in Miami, on Sunday August 18th.

It was pretty easy to find with a small line forming on the sidewalks covered in pink and black “MILK BAR” tape. We entered the plaza and hopped in line for food and merch.

The staff was super friendly and I was able to try one of every food item for under $50- so ya girl loaded up!

The first thing I tried was the Cereal Milk Soft Serve which was handed out the window of an adorable pink van! This ice cream tasted just like the sweet milk left behind after consuming a bowl of cornflakes- it was even topped with cornflakes!!

…But it wasn’t for me. I’ve always been more of a pop tart girl myself, nevertheless, I would be interested in trying a soft serve made from lucky charm milk or coco puff milk! But cornflake, didn’t do it for me.

Next, I tried the Crack Pi- erh Milk Bar Pie. I don’t even have a photo of it- needless to say it didn’t last long! Buttery, sugary, gooey, delicious. I only bought one slice, but now I wish I bought the whole pie!

I was so happy to add to my pin collection- tour pins are the best! I also started a patch collection, which in hindsight I probably should’ve refrained, but their patches were just too stinkin’ cute!

Speaking of cute, the pop up was dog-friendly, and they even gave my sister a free ticket for doggie ice cream! Her pup, Alice, approved!

All the cookies and truffles came pre-wrapped so I saved those for home. I’ll follow up with my review as I taste test my way through my pile of goodies!

  • B’day Cake Truffles:
  • Chocolate B’day Cake Truffles: SO GOOD & Gooey! The aroma reminds me of Little Bites Brownies which gives me total camper nostalgia- those were definitely road trip staples growing up! Just to be clear though, the taste and texture of these truffles are much richer than the store bought brownies!
