A line formed quickly on Saturday morning, the first guests arriving as early as 9am to show their patronage and to score a FREE Playa bowl! A giant balloon arch marked the front of the line and entrance to the new Playa Bowls Davie. A beautiful bubbly mermaid, ahem- yours truly- greeted guests at the door as they waited in line for their favorite frozen treat. A few NSU Sharkettes came by to cheer on the event, as well! Swag bags & shirts were given out to the first 100 guests, and children were seen running around in adorable sunnies handed out by staff members.  By the time the doors opened at 11am, the line had wrapped down the entire Shoppes of Arrowhead plaza and around the building!

Davie’s Mayor Judy Paul performed the official ribbon cutting and welcomed the new business into the community.  The atmosphere was buzzing when Playa Bowls Davie served their first official guests! The space is beautiful, complete with multiple instagram-worthy murals and adorable boho seating! You can dine in bar stool styled chairs at the front window or pull up a chair around one of their many surfboard tables. Some chose to eat their bowls outside, where there was a corn hole game set up to play!

I tried their seasonal “Blue Crush” Coconut bowl and it was MER-MAZING! Playa Bowls uses the freshest, highest quality ingredients, to serve healthy, delicious açaí, pitaya, coconut bowls and smoothies! If you live in Davie, Florida or are ever in the Broward County area, I recommend you give them a try! I love a good frozen fruit bowl & Playa Bowls has quickly become one of my local favorites!
