Do you dream of making your own Mermaid Shell Top?
Here’s my experience making a custom clam bra to swim in! Scroll down to watch a Behind-the-Scenes video of the making of my mermaid top!
Supplies
I used two real lions paw shells which I painted with acrylic to match my pink mermaid tail.
I bedazzled it with lots of sparkly jewels, flat-back pearls, and glitter!
I used E6000 glue to adhere the gems to the shells, and to glue the shells to the bra!

I made a mermaid shell bra from real lions paw shells! I painted & bejeweled it to match my pink mermaid tail perfectly! It’s made to look beautiful on land and to last in the water. I swim in it often and it completes my mermaid look!
1. Paint Shells and let dry – I used acrylic paint
2. Coat with epoxy to seal the paint and allow to dry
3. Glue on gems – I use E6000 glue so that I can wear the top underwater. You may choose to add a second layer of epoxy for extra durability.
4. Glue shells to a bra & enjoy!
