Unbox the “Olympia” Signature Mermaid Tail by Finfolk Productions

Check it out! I got the “Olympia” Signature mermaid tail, originally from Finfolk Production’s 2019 Summer sale! I borrowed her for some promo shooting during the January 2026 TOTM re-release, filmed the unboxing, tried it on, and shared some close-ups of this gorgeous new fabric mermaid tail. I also brought it to Thailand with me to film, which you will see in the Olympia playlist later on.

“Olympia” Signature Mermaid Tail Design

Introducing “Olympia,” a gorgeous mermaid tail by Finfolk Productions! This tail is fit for a golden goddess! The waist begins as white scales, with gold scales starting around the knee area on the front and gently craling up the thighs on both sides. The spines of the fluke are lined with a dark brown shade, while underneath the golden fluke shines through, fading out to white tips. The tail I’m wearing has a dorsal fin, though there were also options for hip & side fins as well! While this tail was first made available in Finfolk Production’s 2019 summer line, there were originally no fin options at the time!

The “Olympia” signature mermaid tail is a realistic mermaid tail that looks great for photos and events! Like all Finfolk Signature fabric tails, this swimmable mermaid tail is created from 1mm, 4-way stretch scuba knit with sublimation printed designs that are realistically detailed and vibrant. This means the scales appear 3D and give the illusion of depth.

The gorgeous “Loreena” fluke is one of my favorites!

The “Olympia” signature tail features Finfolks “Loreena” fluke! This iconic Finfolk designs is one of my favorites- and is the fluke design I chose for my first ever silicone mermaid tail. This classic mermaid silhouette is far from simple, with its beautifully sculpted veins running perfectly curved from scales to tip!

  All Finfolk Signature fabric tails come with a durable vinyl monofin-casing built inside of the tail. This hard but flexible vinyl fills out the fabric perfectly so your monofin can be easily slipped inside and secured with velcro straps. I recommend using a monofin with short, stiff blades such as the FINIS Shooter (which I prefer for these larger flukes) or an Adult Mermaid Linden monofin (a strong swimmer may be able to get away with this one). Remember, quality of monofin will affect quality of tail use (AND SAFETY), so don’t be cheap!

Where to get Finfolk’s “Olympia” Mermaid Tail?

Finfolk Productions does limited releases of new Signature Fabric tail designs 3-4 times per year. The “Birth of Venus” design was made available as part of Finfolk’s Summer 2019 Tail Release. It was released again as a Tail of the Month in January 2026. Unfortunately, this design is currently retired. There is always a chance that Finfolk could pull this design out of their vault for another “Tail of the Month” release or flash sale, so be sure to follow Finfolk on social media for updates! This will also keep you in the know for any upcoming tail releases, where you may just fall in love with a new design! Thinking of getting a Signature Finfolk Fabric Tail?

Here are some things to keep in mind:

• This product is to be used with a monofin by proficient swimmers only. Remember: THE MONOFIN IS NOT INCLUDED, but you will NEED one to swim! You can order one on amazon and swap it out between all your Finfolk fabric tails!
• Check the size chart on Finfolk’s website and have a friend measure you for accuracy. If you are in between sizes, SIZE DOWN.
• Tails with dorsal fins will have a slightly more snug fit.
• Injury or death may occur with improper use. Always follow common sense swimming practices with use of this product. Do not swim alone, or in bodies of water too deep or too hazardous for your abilities. Always swim in lifeguarded areas and with a buddy!
